Final day in Dubai! It was time to post something in our weblog so we went first to an internet café after checking out and leaving our luggage in the hotel. We decided to have some breakfast later during the planned bus city tour.
The internet café took us a lot of time because the “high speed” access was actually damn slow. After finishing everything (including a lot of technical problems with the weblog) we went by taxi to the Burjuman shopping mall to hop on the city tour bus without realising that we actually had not enough time to finish the tour. And the 150 Dirham ticket includes two bus routes, a Dhow river tour, free entrance to different museums etc. So we thought about another way to go to the airport that we can finish at least one bus roundtrip. By the way, time was now 3:00 p.m. without any breakfast or lunch, no time! Living on a shoestring can be hard ;-)
The only way to save some time was to take the Etihad bus transfer. But we did not know any time or place of departure. But the tourguide on the bus she was so nice and called to Etihad for us. We found out all the information we needed and were able to enjoy the wonderful open-roof bus tour. From the Old Souk station we walked back to the hotel, with some souvenir shopping in between, picked up our luggage and took a taxi to Chelsea Tower, the location of Etihad Airways in Dubai.
