Second Day in KL and Leaving KL

Next day (must be Wedneday I think, wow, I cannot remember the days, these are good holidays!) we got up early to go on our own to visit the Petronas Twin Towers. Tanja took us to the subway station in Bangsar and we reached the KLCC easily by train. After getting a ticket for the Sky Bridge we went out to take some pictures of the towers from outside. Then a small iced coffee and tea at Starbucks and we had some more time to walk through the Suria shopping centre. We had our Sky Bridge visit at 11:45. Short (just 10 minutes) but nice.

After that we walked on to the other points of interest in KL. Club Selangor with the 100m high flag of Malaysia, the Mosque etc. towards Chinatown. When the usual heavy afternoon rain started we went to the Central Market again. Nice to have some more time to discover what we missed the day before. When the rain stopeed around 3 p.m. we started our walk to the Volkswagen office to meet Axel for dinner. After some more time in the office meeting some more colleagues and saying goodbye especially to Philippe.

Around 7 p.m. we went out for dinner with Axel to a great Indochine restaurant (food from Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam). Not far away from the city centre but in the middle of the jungle. Thank you Axel for that nice dinner. After that Axel took us to the KL Beach Club (" If you haven't been to the Beach Club, you haven't been in KL"). Great atmosphere in the heart of KL with nice live music.

Back home around midnight (by driver Francis, thank you Francis) to prepare our stuff for our next travel day to Phuket. Not easy because of many souvenirs! Next morning we got up early to say good bye to Tanja. With a nice taxi driver, a friend of Tanja, to the airport. Good bye KL, good bye Malaysia, Welcome to Thailand!!!
